The Ripples bench, winner of the Compasso d'Oro in 2004, changes its guise to become an outdoor bench thanks to the use of okumé wood, native to tropical West Africa, also known as Gaboon. It fears neither humidity nor light rain. An already iconic object that, shaped with craftsmanship, conveys Toyo Ito's ever-delicate poetry.
MATERIALS:
Bench made of okumé plywood composed of several overlapping layers with cross grain.
Water drainage hole present on three inner concave seats.
Seat reinforced with a concealed metal bar.
Wood veneer or lacquered chest of drawers
